Frequently Asked Questions
Do the plans build on each other like Bronze, Silver, and Gold?
No. The four Preferred plans are stackable, not tiered, and none of them contains the others. Preferred IT covers your people and their computers, Preferred Network covers your firewall, Wi-Fi, and switching, Preferred Security covers 24x7 threat detection and response, and Preferred Intelligence covers AI tools, training, and the practices to use them safely. Each plan adds its own coverage, so you can stack one, two, three, or all four.
Which plan should I start with?
It depends on where your gaps are, not on a fixed order. Businesses with no day-to-day IT support usually start with Preferred IT. Businesses that already have internal IT but aging network gear often start with Preferred Network. Businesses facing cyber-insurance or compliance requirements usually start with Preferred Security. Preferred Intelligence is usually layered on once the basics are covered, when a team is already using AI and needs guardrails and training around it. We tell you in writing which parts of your environment are still uncovered so the decision is yours.
We pay for a long list of separate IT services today. What changes?
The Preferred plans replace a scattered list of individual line items with at most four: Preferred IT, Preferred Network, Preferred Security, and Preferred Intelligence. Each capability sits in exactly one plan, so nothing is billed twice, and whichever plans you stack arrive on one agreement and one monthly invoice.
How are the plans priced?
Preferred IT is billed per user, Preferred Network per device, and Preferred Security per user and endpoint, all monthly. Preferred Intelligence is scoped per engagement rather than per seat, because the work depends on how many workflows and how many people are in scope. Each plan is priced on its own, and if you take more than one we combine them into a single custom quote after a short conversation. There is no obligation.
What is not included in the plans?
Structured cabling, formal penetration tests and audits, deeper compliance readiness and audit prep, virtual CIO advisory, and extra cloud storage are quoted separately as add-ons or projects. AI work is not on that list: it is its own plan, Preferred Intelligence. We flag any coverage gap in writing so the choice is always yours.
Do I have to sign a long contract?
No long-term lock-in games. We earn your business every month, and our average client has stayed with us for more than 20 years because the service speaks for itself.
